Dear International Teacher Leadership Conference Attendees,

Thank you for attending the 2017 University of Florida International Teacher Leadership Conference!

Whether you were an attendee or a presenter, the conference would not have been nearly as much of a success without you as part of our community. As you know, people came from all over the State of Florida, the country, and the world to share the power and possibility of teacher leadership. At the University of Florida Lastinger Center for Learning, we believe that empowered teacher leaders will play a crucial role in improving the conditions and experiences within our schooling system. We are grateful for you and your participation in helping us further the conversation.

We wish you all the best!

P.S. For all those interested in further professional development offerings from the Lastinger Center, please look into the Summer Summit. This June 2017 event will be in Gainesville, Florida.

“As both a teacher leader and a researcher, I found that the first International Teacher Leadership Conference fed both my spirit and mind. The conference inspired me to use my teacher leadership influence to be an activist. It challenged me to collect evidence of my own and others’ leadership impact on student and professional learning.

I met educators who were activating their leadership to improve learning for all students. And, they gave me tools and strategies to do so.

I look forward to next year when I can continue to share and learn from those dedicated to democratizing and energizing student learning through teacher leadership.”
